Had a fantastic family holiday in this wonderful villa.
27th Oct. - 3rd Nov. 2014. Had a fantastic family holiday in this wonderful villa. Came for Dave’s 50th Birthday and arranged a birthday cake for us. The heated pool was a real bonus and we spent many hours in it. Very safe for children. The weather for this time of year has been brilliant and was the icing on the cake. Had a real chill out. Having the villa cleaned and the towels changed midweek was a very nice touch and much appreciated. Had some great meals out, but the best for us was the A Rede Restaurant at the top of the hill. Amazing food and really good atmosphere, made us feel so welcome. Would recommend the villa to anyone.

Throughout the booking, arrival and stay we have enjoyed excellent communication, unrivalled service and above expectation facilities. Casa Valhalla is an exceptional villa with everything to keep our large family of 11 happy, entertained and content throughout. Portugal is a wonderful country to visit and the villa offers the perfect platform to enjoy all it had to offer. Thank you Miguel ( and the team). Your effort and willingness to help and assist added to to this experience. We would readily visit the "Oasis" again..., and again... and have all ready recommended to others. Thank you....

The villa is spacious and immaculately clean. Reasonably well equipped but few oversights. Not enough coffee mugs and chipped China. Need a second bin as well for recycling. Carvoeiro is pleasant enough but you need to choose restaurants before you come and book them well ahead. It's a nice wander into town from Casa Valhalla. We enjoyed our stay and felt we were supported locally.

We had a fantastic holiday. You had everything you could possibly need at the villa. The pool was wonderful and everyone enjoyed it. There is a large grassy area where the children can play football, there is also a little playarea and shoot for the younger children. The villa was very clean and the maid came in twice a week to give it a clean and change the beds. The villa is about 15 to 20 minutes walk for the town centre and the Supermarket which are both about a 15 minute walk from the villa. We had a fantastic 2 week holiday at the villa without any car but would recommend you hire one to see the sites .

We stayed at Casa Valhalla as a group of three families. Our children ranged from 2 - 7 years old. When we arrived at the apartment (greeted by Miguel) it's fair to say we where amazed. The villa is perfect for groups with children who want to relax and have some fun. The outside space is not only plentiful but is packed with things to keep children and adults amused. The house itself is finished to a high standard with quality appliances and has everything you need for everyday living. As with the outside, there is a variety of things indoors to keep everyone entertained including a fully equipped games which we all loved. In summary this house was, in all of our opinions, AMAZING!! Finally I want to quickly say a big thank you to Miguel who looked after us during our stay. He was always at hand and was full of great suggestions and advice on how to maximise our time in Carvoeiro. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would definitely go back.

14th to 21st May, 2014. Melanie & David - Glasgow.
We had a lovely time at Casa Valhalla. Sorry to be leaving after only a week. Although there were only two of us, it was great to have the extra space…maybe we’ll bring some friends next time, maybe not!
We had some of the best food of our holiday at “Taste” and at “Ele & Ela” in town. We also had a lovely BBQ here - it was great to sit outside and eat. We just got some meat and fish from the Intermarché (and anti-bug candles!)
Would recommend the beach at Ferragudo - it’s very quiet and there are some nice beach bars for grabbing a coffee/ beer/ lunch.
Thanks Howard for welcoming us so late in the evening and sorting the booking out so last minute.
Thanks David & Mandy for keeping such a lovely, well equipped villa!
Melanie & David.
Never before have we had to ask for the pool to be cooler!
1st to 5th May, 2014 - Mark and Vicky - England.
Thank you for a wonderful mini break, the villa was amazing and never before have we had to ask for the pool to be cooler!
Howard was very welcoming and helpful when required and allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay.
Restaurants in town were amazing, although we would not go back to “The Wolf” due to awful service and not great food. A Rede was our favourite restaurant with great fresh fish.
We will be back !
Mark and Vicky.
12th to 19th April, 2014 - Nhi, Rachel, Chac Yun, Joey, Billy Le, Chac, Mia and Brandon - Kent, U.K.
Thank you for having us at the villa. We’ve all had a fabulous time here as a family and the weather here has been AMAZING. The heated pool was a must have for us as we spent hours there (highly recommended!). Also, the Marinha beach was gorgeous and a boat ride is highly recommended as well. Howard has been brilliant to all of us, when we’ve had an issue, Howard sorted it even on a bank holiday. Furthermore, Primavera Restaurant was a great place to eat.
Thank you very much for having us.
19th to 26th April, 2014 - Dawn, Mike, Rachael, Chad, Dael, Vicky, Travis, Joab and Milo.
Many thanks to Howard for being so helpful and for sorting out a fabulous suckling pig which was amazing! Villa was fantastic, very well equipped and comfortable, pool was brilliant never had one so warm and have had many, beer on tap was an added bonus and cleaners were very pleasant on a whole a fantastic time, Regards.
Fantastic villa, couldn’t have wanted for anything better.
5/10/2013
Fantastic villa, couldn’t have wanted for anything better. Howard provided us with a Sagres barrel, which went down excellently with the gents! Restaurants in the area all superb, Hot Stone, A Rede and Villa Medici.
Had a drive out to Vale de Lobo’s very exclusive beach club and marina at Vilamoura, very similar in style to Puerto Banus, Spain.
Thanks again.

A great thanks to Howard and Dave for having an amazing holiday!

Linsay Bingham - 1st to 15th August 2013
Stunning inside and out!
The villa is set in lovely gardens with a separate BBQ area in a quiet area. We have stayed in several villas in the Vale de Milho/dos Moinhos area and this is the best yet! Great pool area with basketball, kids toys/play area and table tennis so you could never get bored. All bedrooms of a high standard with ensuite. The kitchen is as impressive as it looks in the photos, with everything you could think of provided. The Sagres on tap is a must, approx 1 euro a pint. Approx 15 mins walk to the town centre, 10 mins to the Vale de Milho Golf Club and the Vale de Milho Restaurant. I could go on and on with good points. The only problem we found was we had to leave! Dave and Howard the House Manager were extremely helpful throughout the whole experience, a big thank you to you both!!
Top villa, brillant, superb,no negatives, great time had by all 10 of us. would definetly go again. Some great restaurants but vills well equiped to eat in which we did several times. Would recommend.
8th June, 2013.
We have just enjoyed a fabulous week at Casa Valhalla - the villa is superbly furnished with everything you would need for both adults and young children (we were a group of adults and babies) and we could have happily stayed in the villa all week, although there are many places to visit in the local area.
Would thoroughly recommend Restaurante Onze (11) in Carvoeiro and if you don’t want to venture out then definitely suggest organizing The Chef Affairs to come and cater for you. Howard is extremely helpful and can advise on organizing many activities. Would definitely return if holidaying with friends/ families.

Looking forward to our return !!!
02 May, 2013 - Susan, John, Barry, Laura and Karmyn Barr, Tullibody, Clackmanshire, Scotland.
Had a fabulous week here in Casa Valhalla. We have no complaints whatsoever and will be highly recommending.
Every need was catered for and Howard went out of his way to attend all our needs.
Used this house to celebrate a special family Birthday occasion of 10 adults and 3 children, which was an ideal location.
Hope lots of people enjoy their holiday as much as we did.
This villa has everything you could wish for in a holiday, the house and gardens are fantastic, very high quality and comfort, and the owners were very helpful indeed, I would highly recommend to anyone who likes a high standard of accommodation for a relaxing holiday.

Guests Mr & Mrs Walpole
We were not expecting much when heading out to Carvoeiro for a week over Christmas, other than a relaxing break away with family and plenty to eat and drink. We got all of these and more at Casa Valhalla.
We were met at the property by Dave who showed us round and explained how everything worked. Although there were instructions near to everything such as washing machine, dishwasher, air conditioning/heaters etc. to remind us.
We’d ordered the draught Sagres lager as we were having Christmas Dinner there and a nice cold beer on tap was really nice to have – especially round the pool in the sunshine!
The villa had everything we needed for self-catering and we managed to cook a full turkey Christmas dinner using the double ovens and 5 ring hob. The villa is designed to cater easily for 10 people and it was good to see there was lots of crockery, cutlery and even seating and table space for everyone.
The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms luxurious with the under-floor heating appreciated. There was plenty of bed linen, pillows and blankets for everyone.
The villa had free wifi to keep us all connected – especially with Christmas gifts to set up such as Kindles and iPads. And the Sky TV meant that everyone was kept entertained from the Grandparents to Grandchildren.
The weather was fantastic and we had breakfast/brunch outdoors on the large table on the patio most days. We had a hire car and took some trips out to some beaches but spent much of our time relaxing in the garden during the day. We’d requested the pool be heated for our trip and it was made good use of, along with the hot tub.
We ate out most evenings (it was a holiday after all) and were pleasantly surprised to see how many bars and restaurants were open in Carvoeiro. We’d been out there before for Christmas a few years back, staying at the Tivoli and it had been rather quiet.
We would definitely recommend this villa to others – it certainly is far more reasonably priced and comfortable than accommodating a whole family in a hotel. We would say it was like a home from home – but it has a bit more luxury than we have at home!
Reviewed August 29, 2012 What a stunning villa.Everthing you could wish for not only the position but the facilities it provides for the family.A gated veranda so small children can not get to the pool .Outside barbeque, jacuzzi and a great pool that is checked twice a week no nasty chlorine smell.
Inside was spacious rooms all air conditioned all bedrooms have en suite.
Kitchen fitted out large fridge freezer a small fridge for your bottled beers along with a beer pump which will provide you with 50litres of cold beer (you have to pre order this with the owner well worth while). A great supermarket just 5 mins drive away loads of fresh fish and fruit and veg at very reasonable prices get there earl for the fish We will certainly be going back next year!

Just returned from a week at the Valhalla and had a great time as it was probably the best villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 11 including 4 grandchildren between 7 and 2 and found the the accommodation, the pool and the grounds to be lovely. Very clean and well appointed. Recommend ordering the barrel of beer!
Although the villa is in a quiet area outside of the town we did not need a car and used taxis where necessary for the 5 minute journey into Carvoeiro - about 5 euros each way.
There is a lovely child friendly restaurant within 5 minutes walk Vale do Milho - great food and Fernando a great host.
Reviewed July 25, 2012 You could not ask for more from this villa, it has everything covered. Firstly, it looks exactly like it does in the pictures only better. The location is great, quite quiet but still close to everything and not overlooked by other villas. The surroundings are beautiful, the garden is really well maintained and colourful. We got taxis everywhere, things were walking distance but with a big group it was easier to bundle into taxis and be anywhere in 5 mins. It was no more the 5 euro to Carvoeiro centre and to the Intermarche where we stocked up. Marinha beach is definitely worth a visit as is the restaurant L'Orange.
The pool area was excellent, loungers, parasols and plenty of toys for kids (and big kids) in your group. We were a group of 10 adults and it provided everthing we needed to chill out and have fun. The hot tub is another excellent feature, being slightly secluded by trees it's perfect to chill out in when you've had enough sun. Just down from the pool was the BBQ area which was large and well equipped. The eating area was lovely too.
The villa itself is pretty impressive, the kitchen is massive, plenty room for cooking and most of the utensils etc you would need. The beer tap was a fantastic addition too. There is a large fridge freezer but also another smaller one for overspill. The living room is comfortable and bright. The bedrooms are all really nice, the master was particularly special with it's terrace and sea views. The maid service was handy too.
The service we got from Dave and Mandy was great too, they were quick to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed. All in all we were really impressed with the villa and hope to return one day soon!
Reviewed July 18, 2012 We were a family group of 3 generations, ages ranging from 14 to 59 and we all absolutely loved the villa, the men especially loving the beer on tap. The villa is luxurious whilst still maintaining a homely, welcoming atmosphere. There are so many little touches that all go to making this the perfect place to stay for a holiday, from the best welcome pack I have ever had, a safe in every bedroom and the brilliant bbq area being just a few. There is plenty of space for everyone to be together either by the pool, in the lounge area and the dining table is brilliant, but there are also plenty of places to escape to too. Carvoeiro is about a 25 minute walk away, or a few minutes drive, and has a lovely little beach and loads of places to eat. We can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic villa with everything very well thought out. Villa was nicely furnished, very well equipped for both children and adults. Our children loved the pool area (all the inflatables were an added bonus!), and the garden area with the table tennis, basketball net, and goal. Adults loved the hot tub! There was never a dull moment! Inside the villa it is gorgeous – kitchen very nicely set up as was each bedroom and the lounge / diner. All in all a beautiful villa which allowed us all to have a super holiday and relax from the second we arrived.
Reviewed June 30, 2012 I arrived back from this villa this evening. Though knackered having travelled with 2 little children, it's a testament to the place that I'm writing this review now.
It really is a superb villa. All the facilities you could ever wish for were there.....I need to replenish my home! We had 5 little children in our group and they loved it. Everything was in great condition and, unusually, it's better than the photos suggest.
The location was good, on the edge of the built up area but also feeling like it's in the countryside. I have to disagree with one reviewer though. If you've had every joint replaced you might think it's not a walk to Carvoeiro, but for everyone else, it's a pleasant 10- 15 minute walk. Carvoeiro is hilly but this villa is as well situated as any.
We will be returning!
Myself,two daughters+husbands and 7 grandchildren enjoyed a very happy,noisy and comfortable holiday.
There was plenty of space inside and outside the villa for all ages to do their own activity or just relax.
We had some great bbqs and long, chatty evenings on the terrace with a glass or two.

We had al lovely holiday. Everyone enjoyed the villa, the young childern, but also the grandparents. Carvoeiro area is beautiful and not so crowded by a lot of tourists.
We have been in this area several times and have been in different houses, but Villa Valhalla was the best equipped villa so far. Not only the pool and jacuzzi, but also the kitchen.

What a beautiful villa! Our family stayed here for a week in May with ages ranging from 9 months to Grandparents and everyone was suitably impressed by the luxury of the rooms and facilities. A car is essential but who wouldn't wish to explore the surrounding coves and towns? We were aided by some lovely weather but with lager on tap...we wouldn't hesitate to return.

We had a fantastic stay in Portugal. The welcome basket of fruit, wine, cheese, milk and more was a pleasant surprise so that we didn't have to dash out to the grocery store. (Even though the market was just 5 minutes away). The accommodations couldn't have been nicer with a superb, well appointed kitchen where we prepared wonderful meals together while enjoying a bottle of local wine. All the conveniences of home plus more! The pool and gardens were lovely and we enjoyed the morning sun on the patio. There is a good selection of restaurants nearby. Accommodations were clean, well maintained and very comfortable! I would return again.

What can I say about this villa! Fantastic I want the Kitchen in my house.! Felt really safe in the area of the villa. It isn't in a resort as such so if you like to walk around on your holidays you definately need a car. We (well the men) got taxi's to and from the Supermarket which was about 10 mins away. Fab Supermarket a bit like Asda has everything you need. We are usually party people but I must say that all three families just didn't need to go anywhere.
We were a party of 12 6 adults and 6 Kids all under 8 years old and quite hyperactive usually. The villa provided us with all we needed. Fabulous heated pool, hot tub, football net and enough room for the boys to play football, separate bbq area, sky tv. What they don't tell you is that there are enough 'left overs' from previous guests to keep you occupied - inflatable toys for the pool, table tennis, board games, books etc. Loads of room so you are not on top of each other. Just can't shout about it enough.
If you are thinking of taking a baby there is even a baby bouncer, baby walker and high chair in pristine condition. The gate from the outside terrace has a bolt on too so younger kids can't get to the pool un assisted.
Fab place to chill and relax with your mates and their kids. Thanks so much David..!! xx
“Villa Valhalla Spa, Carvoeiro. Despite being one of the least expensive, It was the Best!”
Reviewed June 14, 2011
My family have been holidaying in Portugal, specifically in Carvoeiro, for
the past 10 years. Each year we have rented a different Villa in the
surrounding area. Despite being one of the least expensive, Villa Valhalla
was the best yet. The Villa benefits from its close proximity to the town,
has been rebuilt to a very high standard and is beautifully equipped, ideal
for a large family with children. The support staff were highly attentive
and helpful without being intrusive in anyway.
I will definitely be returning to Villa Valhalla next year and highly
recommend it.
"Dear" Mandy & David, Thanks for a wonderful stay & the little things like arranging taxis, car hire & the welcome pack, will recommend you to friends & family!" -Pete & Karen from Bristol. 8th to 17th July 2005
What can I say about this villa! Fantastic I want the Kitchen in my house.! Felt really safe in the area of the villa. It isn\'t in a resort as such so if you like to walk around on your holidays you definately need a car. We (well the men) got taxi\'s to and from the Supermarket which was about 10 mins away. Fab Supermarket a bit like Asda has everything you need. We are usually party people but I must say that all three families just didn\'t need to go anywhere.

"Superb Villa, we felt so at home and what a view! Great time of the year to come. Warm weather but so peaceful. Good to be near town but not right in the middle of it. Cooked a lot at the villa, it was so well equipped. Ruby loved her cot & high chair. Will be telling everyone & hope to come back soon!"
